2009 Show Information

Didn’t exhibit at the Fine Furniture and Woodworking Festival last year? You missed an exciting event!
A full arena of VT woodworkers, with 24 new woodworkers, wasn’t the only exciting thing that happened at the 2008 Furniture Festival last year. We have continued to bring new aspects to the Festival each year and this past year we added a few more exciting components. A kid’s activity tent outside gave the younger attendees (and some old!) a chance to make their own wooden items, a local caterer, JDC’s Just Delicious Catering, brought fresh, local foods to the hungry visitors, and the Vermont Arts Council brought in their ArtsMobile to promote the Art Fits Vermont statewide project.

What features will remain? We will again partner with Marsh Billings Rockefeller National Historical Park for their annual Forest Festival Weekend. The Park will host woodworking and sawmill demonstrations, forest walks, educational activities, and events for the whole family.  And, we will again provide shuttle service between venues.

What’s New?
We will be holding a student design competition at the Woodworking Festival this year. Space on the Arena floor will be dedicated to the hard working Vermont high school students that wish to enter one of their woodworking projects into the Design Competition. Students will be able to network and visit with the professional woodworkers exhibiting at the Festival. (More info to follow).

Join Us! The continued success of this event now depends on increased participation by members of the industry. Whether you have been a past participant or have never participated before, please join your colleagues for the 2009 Fine Furniture and Woodworking Festival. We are counting on your support of this great event to carry us forward. We no longer have grant funding to support us and must make up this shortfall with an increase in exhibitors.
